Junonia atlites has pale grayish upperwings and dark brown stripes on the discal and submarginal. On the post-discal front and rear wings there is a series of orange eye spots surrounded by black. The underside of the wings are the same as the upper side, but the color is paler.Larva: larvae of Junonia atlites are yellowish orange, cylindrical in shape, black head capsule and body surface.
